Register at any branch with your ID and one passport photo. Your card is issued the same day — free for students and children.
Browse the shelves or search our online catalogue (OPAC). Staff at the desk can help you locate any item in our collection.
Present your card and selected items at the circulation desk. Your loan is processed instantly and your due date is printed on a slip.
Return items by the due date at any desk. Renew in person, by phone or online through your account — up to two times per item.
Different material types have different loan periods and limits. Check below to understand what applies to your items.
Fines accumulate daily from the due date. Outstanding fines must be paid before new loans can be processed. Members with fines exceeding TSh 5,000 may have borrowing privileges suspended. Lost items must be replaced or paid for at current market value plus TSh 2,000 administrative fee.
Choose the membership that suits you. All memberships are processed on the same day at any branch.
Bring a valid national ID, passport or student card. Also bring one recent passport-size photograph.
Students need school letterGo to the circulation desk at the nearest ZLSB branch. Staff will guide you through the registration form.

Your library card is issued immediately. You can start borrowing books on the same day you register!
